Since 1996, we have taken in children in situations of suffering and social, physical or emotional vulnerability.
Our work is non-profit and depends exclusively on donations from individuals and companies.
Current Projects
Clean Water
The need for clean water for drinking, personal hygiene, cleaning facilities, laundry, and cooking, is great and on-going, and among the orphanage’s most pressing needs. The 160+ children living at Casa da Criança deserve a clean and consistently-viable water system, specifically engineered to sustain them and make their day to day life easier.
Perennial Garden Project
This project is aimed at growing a fruit and vegetable garden and teaching the children of Casa das Crianças to maintain a productive garden suited to the local diet, climate, and soil conditions.
Nursery Renovation
This project is intended to provide a clean and safe living and play space for infants, babies and toddlers.
